Topic-Based Feed Filter Chrome Extension
50/130 FLOOR 65
Recorded 2026-06-14 · refused 2026-08-01
THE IDEA, IN FULL
Users want fine-grained content filtering across social feeds and news aggregators to hide specific topics, events, or keywords without unfollowing sources. Current solutions are either too broad (mute words) or platform-specific. A cross-platform Chrome extension could filter content by topic across Twitter, Reddit, HN, and news sites.
WHY IT WAS REFUSED
Refused at 50 out of 130. The machine's floor is 65, so this one never reached a shelf. It was scored at intake and never ran the full gauntlet. The intake note reads: "HN Show HN with 4 points, 2 comments. Clear validated pain around noise reduction in feeds. Chrome extension is the natural delivery mechanism. Simple tech tier."
